Residents living within the boundaries of Metro Patrol Division are very fortunate to have specific detectives working for them. There are eight Detectives at the Metro Patrol Property Crimes Section who investigate a multitude of property-related offenses that occur within Metro Patrol’s boundaries. These crimes include Burglary, Stolen Autos, Stealings and Property Damage.
These detectives are experienced and have a fantastic reputation for solving their assigned cases; however, not every crime is assigned to a detective. Each property-related report is reviewed on a daily basis. Over 10,000 property-related offenses occur in Metro Patrol each year, which makes it impossible to investigate each and every crime. Once assigned, cases are handled as promptly and efficiently as possible.
Additionally, detectives are assigned the task of conducting car dealership verification inspections for new and existing businesses as well as salvage lot inspections. These inspections are done on a yearly basis and it is requested that you contact the detectives well in advance of your inspection deadlines. The Metro Patrol Property Crimes Section is the best at what they do. They work as a team to reach their common goal, which is to reduce crimes and help keep the public safe. They are mindful of citizens concerns and strive to keep an open communication with the public they serve.
