The Animal Health and Public Safety Division promotes the safety of residents from animals and animal-borne diseases, fosters the humane treatment of animals, encourages the adoption of pets, enforces animal and fowl ordinances, inspects facilities that deal with or sell animals, conducts educational programs, and picks up stray, sick and injured animals.
