Weekend street closures effective in Convention Center area Friday, March 23, 2012
The City of Kansas City, Mo., is advising residents that 13th Street between Broadway Boulevard and Central Street, and Central Street between 12th and 14th streets, closed Friday, March 23 at 8 a.m. to accommodate multiple events being held at the Convention Center complex. Both streets will reopen Monday, March 26 at 8 a.m.

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department is performing multiple valve repairs near 63rd and Troost between 10 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday. Expect lane closures. Water service may be off in the area between 59th Street and 66th Street from Troost to the Paseo, Bushman Drive, and Blue Hills Rd.

City completes $75.265 million special obligation bond issuance Wednesday, March 21, 2012
The City of Kansas City, Mo., successfully issued a total of $75.265 million in special obligation improvement and refunding bonds on Thursday, March 15. The bonds were issued in two series; Series 2012A was issued as tax-exempt in the amount of $15.985 million, and Series 2012B was issued as taxable in the amount of $59.28 million.

City completes $216.895 million general obligation bond issuance Tuesday, March 13, 2012
On the morning of March 8, 2012, the City of Kansas City, Mo., successfully issued a total of $216.895 million in general obligation improvement and refunding bonds. The bond proceeds plus $19.7 million in net premium provided $130.5 million for basic infrastructure projects; zoo exhibit renovation; expansion and construction of a new East Patrol police station and crime lab; construction of a new North Patrol police station; and the purchase of police helicopters.
