City hosts training course to improve governance with local agencies receiving City funding Tuesday, May 29, 2012
The City of Kansas City, Mo., will host a free Governance Summit training course for senior level executives who work for entities that receive City funding. The course will take place on Wednesday, May 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Kauffman Conference Center, 4801 Rockhill Road. It is the sixth in a series of annual classes the City is sponsoring to improve governance and better engage with agencies receiving City funding.

Residents advised about wastewater overflow in Blue River Watershed Friday, May 18, 2012
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department has reported a wastewater overflow due to a collapsed sewer line at 5353 E. 39th St. The leak was discovered on Wednesday, May 16 at 3:30 p.m. The sewage was surfacing at a rate of less than 0.5 gallons per minute. It was contained in the street and did not reach a water source.

Health Department to host Hepatitis C testing clinic May 18 Wednesday, May 16, 2012
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department will provide a free and confidential rapid Hepatitis C testing clinic from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, May 18 in the Health Department’s atrium, located at 2400 Troost Ave. This clinic is in support of National Hepatitis Testing Day, which is observed on May 19. The tests were provided by the American Liver Foundation.
