Premium Auto Auction returns to City tow lot Thursday, September 4, 2008
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Tow Services Division will return its Premium Auto Auctions to the City tow lot starting Oct. 14. The City started a pilot program in July with Sapulpa Auto Pool Inc. to provide an online bidding option for the City's Premium Auto Auctions.

Water Services Utility Funding Task Force Meeting Tuesday, September 2, 2008
The Water Services Utility Funding Task Force is a mayoral appointed group that includes representatives from the City Council, the business community, the Wet Weather Community Panel, community leaders, and individuals who have special expertise in local poverty issues, demographics, and development. The Water Services Utility Funding Task Force will help integrate community values into forming a funding strategy for the City’s water, sewer and stormwater utilities.

City/state services not required for Hurricane Gustav evacuees at this time Sunday, August 31, 2008
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Emergency Operations Center has announced that air evacuees from Louisiana will not be coming to the Charles Wheeler Downtown airport, as had been expected. Other locations around the state also will not be needed at this time.

Trash pick-up delayed, City offices closed Sept. 1 Monday, August 25, 2008
In observance of Labor Day on Sept. 1, curbside trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day and City of Kansas City, Mo., offices will be closed. The 3-1-1 Action Center, a division of the City Manager's Office, also will be closed for the holiday.

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Works Department has started the second phase of the KC Bicycle Transportation Initiative, which will remove obstacles that impede the smooth operation of bicycles by replacing, adjusting or retrofitting existing drainage grates, drop inlets, curb inlets, and utility lids on about 40 miles of roadway.
