Boil advisory issued for I-70 south to 87th Street, Blue Ridge Cut-off east to city-limits A precautionary Boil Water Advisory is being issued by Water Services on Tuesday, July 24th, 2012 effective immediately. Water Services anticipates the boil advisory to last about 24 hours. The affected area includes the area of I-70 south to 87th Street; Blue Ridge Cut-off east to the city-limits. Customers should boil all drinking water. Boil water vigorously for three minutes before using it to drink, cook, or prepare food. Ice made with un-boiled water should not be used for drinking purposes. Disinfect dishes and food contact surfaces with tap water that contains one teaspoon of household bleach per gallon.

City’s Civil Rights Division airs 12-week radio show series on discrimination Tuesday, July 24, 2012
The Civil Rights Division of Kansas City, Mo.’s Human Relations Department will launch a new 30-minute radio show to be aired on KPRT 1590 AM. The show, called “Discrimination – Report It, Don’t Ignore It,” will begin airing on Saturday, July 28 and will run for twelve weeks. The show will air at 11 a.m. each Saturday.
