New City department to be located on 11th floor of City Hall
The recently created City of Kansas City, Mo., Housing and Community Development Department will be located on the 11th floor of City Hall, 414 E. 12th St. The department, which includes the Housing Program and Planning Division, the Portfolio Management Division and the Property Preservation Division, will be fully operational April 27.
The Property Preservation Division is moving from the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, and will be closed April 24 to accommodate its move to the 11th floor.
Housing and Community Development Division activities include:
- Housing Program and Planning Division - administers program planning and administration
- Portfolio Management Division - administers loan servicing oversight, development management and first-time homebuyer program
- Property Preservation Division - administers the Home Weatherization Program, Municipal Court Fund Program, Paint Program and the Emergency Home Repair Program.
The department change of the Property Preservation Division will not affect the way residents receive applications for any applicable programs. The telephone numbers for division employees will not change.
