Onsite registration available at Bright Future Employment fair
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Youth Advocacy Office, a division of the City Manager’s Office, has announced that Greater Kansas City area residents ages 15-22 who are interested in paid positions (full-time, part-time, seasonal, etc.) can now register onsite from 9-10 a.m. for the Bright Future Employment Fair.
The fifth annual employment fair is March 16 from 7:45 a.m. until noon at the Kansas City Convention Center, 301 W. 13th St.
Young people registering onsite are required to dress professionally, bring a minimum of 10 resumes and have proper identification (photo ID, social security card or original birth certificate).
Applicants will have the opportunity to be interviewed and immediately hired by the several companies and City departments. Nearly 3,000 young people have been employed in the four years of the program.
Some of the employers attending the fair include: United Parcel Service, Department of Conservation, E & K of Kansas City, Midwest Pool Management, Park University, Burns & McDonnell, Builders Association and Hallmark Cards.
