ServiceFIRST Community Forums to be held Oct. 28 and Oct. 29
Mayor Kay Barnes will host a ServiceFIRST Community Forum Monday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Tri-Blenheim Neighborhood Association meeting. The meeting will be held at Research Medical Center, 2316 E. Meyer Blvd., on B Level in the Training Room. Another forum will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. at the offices of Northland Neighborhoods, Inc., 5312 N.E. Chouteau Trafficway.
Mayor Barnes will report on the status of basic City services in areas which are of highest concern for Kansas Citians. Street maintenance, abandoned vehicles, property maintenance code violations, bulky item pick-up, trash collection, illegal dumping, storm water and catch basin maintenance are the issues discussed in the Mayor’s weekly ServiceFIRST meetings with interested City Councilmembers, City staff and the City Manager.
Kansas City residents will also have an opportunity to ask the Mayor questions about specific concerns at these forums.
Goals of ServiceFIRST:
Provide accurate and timely information in order to track progress toward improved service delivery.
Give citizens updates on progress being made in five basic services areas.
Demonstrate greater responsiveness of elected officials and City staff to citizen concerns.
Foster increased communication and collaboration among City departments.
