Buy one/get one free talent show tickets Oct. 19 and 20

Spotlight on KC Talent Show is Oct. 21

Buy one/get one free Spotlight on KC Talent Show tickets are available Thursday and Friday only. Tickets are available at the Municipal Auditorium box office, from Ticketmaster ( and the Youth Advocacy Office on the 22nd floor of City Hall, 414 E. 12th St. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

The City of Kansas City, Mo., will hold the second Spotlight on KC Talent Show Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Exhibit Hall in Municipal Auditorium, 301 W. 13th St. in Kansas City, Mo. Prizes include cash and additional opportunities to perform in the community. Sho Tyme, who is a student at the Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, is the special guest performer. National recording artist Sammie also will perform.

The competition was open to youth ages 12-18 and the contestants were required to attend free entertainment workshops. The auditions, workshops and the talent show have been coordinated by the Youth Advocacy Office (City Manager's Office).

The following are this year's contestants for the Spotlight on KC Talent Show:

    Jazmine Morris -- Hickman Mills High School

    Leilani Riley -- Bishop O'Hara High School

    Ronnell Buchanan -- Northgate Middle School

    Dominique Mitchell -- Central High School

    Warren Harvey -- Lee's Summit High School, and Elaina Levingston -- Lee's Summit North High School

    Camellia Odah -- The Pembroke Hill School

    Bayley Kate Hartman -- Central Heights High School

    Zachariah Bradley -- Winnetonka High School, and Eric Bowens -- Sunny Vale Middle School

    Montell Kyle -- Hickman Mills High School

    Erica Baker -- Hickman Mills High School

    Kemet Coleman -- University of Missouri-Kansas City

    Latoya Green -- Lincoln College Preparatory Academy

    Natoshia Coleman -- Park Hill South High School.

The performers will be judged by Tyrone Aikens, Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey; Robert Hill, Disney; Gregory McPherson, McPherson's Holding Group and Allen University; and Ben Chavis, Russell Simmons Hip Hop Summit Action Network.
