City offers online vehicle auction registration
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Neighborhood and Community Services Department’s Tow Services Division now provides interested buyers the opportunity to register for upcoming public vehicle auctions online. To register, visit https://webfusion.kcmo.org/coldfusionapps/neighborhood/towlotAuctionReg/Registration.cfm
Tow Services public vehicle auctions are held monthly, and the next one will be held Sept 22. The vehicles sold at these auctions were obtained through police actions or abandoned by their owners. Registered bidders may view the vehicles available for sale on the morning of the auction between 8-10 a.m. and the auction starts at 10 a.m.; all bids must be made in person. Only persons at least 18 years old may register and bid on vehicles. No guests, children, or pets are allowed entry. Buyers must pay for their cars by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the auction.
“We hope that this new service helps streamline the registration process and will attract more buyers," said Lesly Forsberg, manager of the Tow Services Division.
For more information about the abandoned vehicle auctions, call Lesly Forsberg, manager of the Tow Services Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, (816) 513-0692.
