Nace invites Northland pet owners to TV show taping
Kansas City Councilwoman Becky Nace, 5th District at large, invites Northland pet owners and citizens to a taping of “Pet Connection” Sept. 13. The taping will begin at 2 p.m. at Penguin Park, Vivian Road and North Norton Avenue.
“Pet Connection,” hosted by Nace, is seen on KCCG-TV2, the City Government cable channel, available to Kansas City, Mo., residents who subscribe to Time Warner Cable or Everest Connections. The program is devoted to saving the lives of homeless and unwanted pets by promoting pet adoption. “Pet Connection” has been instrumental in helping the City’s animal shelter increase adoptions by showcasing available dogs and cats. The program also provides information about various services provided by the Animal Control Division, such as low-cost spay and neuter programs, vaccination clinics and pet licensing.
Also participating in the Sept.13 taping will be Mick Schumacher, manager of the Animal Control Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department. Schumacher will be available to answer questions or concerns regarding the Animal Control Division and the animal shelter. Schumacher’s staff also will provide express pet license service at the event.
For more information, call Tom Wyrsch, aide to Councilwoman Becky Nace, (816) 513-1633.
