Residents advised about wastewater overflow into the Blue River Watershed
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reports a wastewater overflow due to a broken 6-inch water main.
An overflow at 7714 Prospect Ave. was reported at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, July 20 due to a broken water main that was flowing into a catch basin and into an unnamed creek that leads to the Blue River at the rate of 10 GPM. The overflow ended at 1 p.m. for a total of 700 gallons.
