Overnight valve test near 45th and Madison may affect water service in the area
City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services crews will perform a water valve test overnight Thursday, June 7 in preparation for the replacement of three valves.
The valves are located at the following locations:
Two valves at 45th Street and Madison Avenue
One valve at44th Street and Madison Avenue
Customers in the area along Madison Avenue between 43rd and 45th streets, and on 45th Street between Madison Avenue and Jefferson Street, may have low or no water pressure between 11 p.m. Thursday, June 7 and 1 a.m. Friday, June 8.
“Routine valve maintenance is important to our commitment of providing clean drinking water and public safety,” said Water Services Director Terry Leeds. “We realize the inconvenience that this testing and maintenance places on our customers and will make a concerted effort to return water service as soon as possible.”
