Residents advised about wastewater overflow in Blue River Watershed (31st Street & Agnes Avenue)
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reports a wastewater overflow due to a broken water main at 31st Street and Agnes Avenue.
During routine inspection of a combined sewer outfall on Thursday, May 24, a manhole was found overflowing. This is a diluted bypass caused by a water main break located at 31st Street and Agnes Avenue entering the combined sewer.
The bypass was found at 12:30 p.m. The outfall flows to the Blue River. A Jet/Vac truck is onsite.
