Water Services to perform valve repairs around 6th and Broadway
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department will be performing valve repairs in the area of 6th and Broadway streets beginning Sunday, April 15 about 7 p.m.
Water service will not be affected, and the repairs will be performed overnight.
The eastbound left lane of 6th Street at Broadway Street will be closed. The street will be reopened by 5 a.m. on April 16.
Repairs are expected to be completed Sunday night; however, to allow for street restoration, the same closures will begin at 9 p.m. each night Monday, April 16 through Thursday, April 19.
“This is part of our ongoing commitment to repair valves and hydrants throughout the City,” said Water Services Director Terry Leeds. “These valves allow WSD crews to take lines out of service to make repairs and to minimize the number of customers affected by water outages.”
