Engage KC Leadership Board sponsors LeadKC Networking Event
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Engage KC Leadership Board and Young Latino Professionals (YLP) will host “LeadKC; In the Mix” on Thursday, April 14 at 5 p.m. at the Chamber Board Room located in Union Station. This event will serve as a platform to connect Kansas City’s up and coming city and state leaders to foster professional growth and civic involvement.
Engage KC, a leadership development board for the city, is inviting local corporate leaders, newly elected and current City Council members, and state representatives to network forward. The board hopes that attendees initiate relationships with key leaders that will lead to greater civic engagement. The networking reception will take place at 5:30 p.m., and a program, featuring presentations by community leaders and Engage KC board members, will begin at 7:30 p.m. This event is open to the public.
"It is always refreshing to see young professional organizations take an active role in our political and organizational processes," said Mayor Mark Funkhouser. "I encourage the public, and young adults in particular, to accept this invitation to network and foster professional growth and civic involvement.”
