Public invited to help shape future of Midtown/Plaza area
City of Kansas City, Mo., City Planning and Development staff and a Gould Evans Associates-led consultant team will host the first public meeting to discuss the Midtown/Plaza Area Plan. The meeting will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11 E. 40th St., on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 6-8 p.m. Meeting sign-in will take place from 5:45-6 p.m.
The Midtown/Plaza Area Plan’s boundaries are: 31st Street on the north, 55th Street on the south, State Line Road on the west and Paseo Boulevard on the east. Residents are invited to discuss what they like about the area, what could make it better, and how the area should develop in the future. Residents can also share their ideas online now at http://midtownplaza.mindmixer.com/.
The Midtown/Plaza Area Plan, under the policy framework of the FOCUS Kansas City Plan, will guide decisions related to future land use, zoning, public improvements, transportation, housing, and economic development for the area.
