Lee’s Summit Road Improvement Study
Project description
The City of Kansas City, in partnership with Jackson County, the City of Lee’s Summit, the Missouri Department of Transportation, and Mid-America Regional Council, sponsored a study of Lee’s Summit Road between 40 Highway and I-470, including the portion of Douglas Street at the south end of the Study Area. After looking at current and projected conditions, the study team prepared a concept for the roadway encompassing several time periods, from short-term safety upgrades to long-term capacity improvements.
