The Public Improvements Advisory Committee, in cooperation with the mayor and City Council, will be holding public hearings across the city. These hearings are being held so that the committee and Council can hear from citizens about the City's public improvement needs.
If you submit more than one request, place a priority number on all PIAC form submittals indicating which is the most important improvement in your neighborhood or association. We are encouraging cooperation instead of competion among the neigbhorhoods and residents we serve in the PIAC program.
The PIAC will use information gathered through the hearings to recommend projects for funding to the Council for Year Thirty-One (Fiscal Year 2014-15) of the one-cent sales tax for public improvements.
In addition to coming to the hearings, residents also can tell the PIAC about needed public improvements by completing a project request form. These forms will be available at the hearings or are available from the Capital Improvements Program in the City Manager's Office 816-513-2826.
The deadline to submit a PIAC application for this year is Aug. 31, 2013. Any request submitted after the deadline date will be held for the next year's funding.
