Mayor Mark Funkhouser works from his office on the 29^th Floor of City Hall. Of course, many Mayoral events and meetings are held outside of City Hall, with the residents and business owners of Kansas City.

 

As Mayor, Mark Funkhouser attends a variety of functions. He serves on the board of directors for several organizations, he is invited to grand openings and major development events, and he presides over the City Council’s Business and Legislative Sessions on Thursday afternoons. He meets individually with City Council members, with his appointments to boards and commissions, and with local residents and business owners who want to meet with him on specific issues. He also appears regularly on both local and national media to talk about Kansas City.

The Mayor’s Office operates with a staff of about ten. The team ranges from policy experts to communications professionals to key administrative staff.
