City responds to hazardous materials incident on Paseo Bridge Monday, November 30, 2009
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Emergency Operations Center activated at approximately 7:30 a.m. Nov. 30 in response to a tractor trailer carrying hydrochloric acid that overturned in the northbound lane just south of the Paseo Bridge.

The Water Services Department and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources report that a sewer overflow on Nov. 23 in the 8400 block of Main Street discharged an estimated 1,200 gallons of wastewater into a unnamed tributary that runs into the Blue River.
