City suspends tobacco license for two BP gas stations

Blue Ridge Petroleum, LLC and Paseo Petroleum, LLC (both doing business as BP) have agreed to a 30-day suspension of their tobacco licenses by the City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department. The stations are located at 4009 Blue Ridge Cutoff and 4632 Paseo Blvd., respectively.

The suspension is the result of selling synthetic drugs on the premises, and will begin at midnight Monday, Dec. 2 and end at midnight Wednesday, Jan. 1. Both businesses will remain open during the suspension, but no tobacco products will be sold or given out.

As a condition of the suspension, the stations’ managing officers have agreed to provide education, training and instruction to their employees about City ordinances.
