City hosts public Midtown-Plaza Area Plan meetings to discuss neighborhood-specific issues

The City of Kansas City, Mo., City Planning and Development Department will host a series of public Midtown-Plaza Area Plan meetings to gather input as the plan’s process makes an important transition from a global focus to a more neighborhood-oriented focus. The meetings will break the planning area into five sub-regions and incorporate previous feedback, current plan policies and its desired future into the discussion.

The upcoming meeting schedule is as follows:

Meeting Session #1:

Tuesday, April 23, 5:30-8:45 p.m.

Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Road.

North West section (31st to 43rd streets; State Line Road to Southwest Trafficway): 5:30-7 p.m.

North East section (31st to 43rd streets; Gillham Road to the Paseo): 7:15-8:45 p.m.

Meeting Session #2:

Monday, April 29, 5:30-8:45 p.m.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11 E. 40th St.

North Center section (31st to 43rd streets; Southwest Trafficway to Gillham Road): 5:30-7 p.m.

South Brush Creek section (Brush Creek to 55th Street; State Line Road to the Paseo) 7:15-8:45 p.m.

Meeting Session #3:

Tuesday, April 30, 6-8 p.m.

Gould Evans offices, 4041 Mill St.

North Brush Creek section (43rd Street to Brush Creek, State Line Road to the Paseo)
