Health Department expands clinic services, hours
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department is expanding services offered through the Adult/Travel Immunization Clinic and adding hours to the Immigration Clinic’s weekly schedule.
The Adult/Travel Immunization Clinic now offers prescriptions to those needing anti-Malaria medications during travel to areas where the disease is common. This service is only available for clients receiving other travel immunizations through the clinic. A separate consultation with a medical doctor in the clinic is required for those requesting these preventive-treatment prescriptions to be filled at the pharmacy of their choice.
The additional consultation will be completed on Tuesday mornings for a $25 fee. All services in the Adult/Travel Immunization Clinic require an appointment and are fee for service only. Please call 816-513-6128 for further information.
The Immigration Clinic, which provides civil surgeon examinations, has expanded appointments to include Wednesday morning options for those unable to attend on Tuesday afternoons.
