Reminder: Second public budget hearing is Saturday, Feb. 22
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Finance and Audit Committee invites residents to provide input on the Fiscal Year 2014-15 Submitted Budget at its second public budget hearing on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon. The hearing takes place at the Robert J. Mohart Multi-Purpose Center (auditorium), 3200 Wayne Ave., Kansas City, MO 64109.
During the hearing, City Council members and staff will present information and listen to public input.
To view the FY2014-15 Submitted Budget, please visit the City’s open data catalog at https://data.kcmo.org/. Both the budget book and a line item budget are available for review.
Any person with a disability who desires reasonable accommodation to attend these meetings may contact the City’s 311 Call Center at 311 or 816-513-1313, or for TTY, 816-513-1889.
Residents unable to attend this Saturday’s hearing may attend the final public budget hearing on Saturday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at the KCPD South Patrol Division, 9701 Marion Park Drive, Kansas City, MO 64137.
Individuals may also get involved using KC Momentum, the City’s interactive, virtual town hall-like website that makes it easy for the public to share budget-related ideas on City issues from the convenience of their home, office or anywhere else an Internet connection is available. The final FY2014-15 Budget will be adopted by the City Council on March 27, 2014.
